Discover Oxford
The city of Oxford is famous for its history, culture and World leading university. On our new ‘Discover Oxford’ programme we are giving students staying at our Kingham Hill School the opportunity to spend more time in this exciting city and see what is has to offer.
Discover Oxford offers students two additional half day excursions to Oxford per week on top of the included full day excursion to Oxford offered to all the students staying at Kingham Hill. These additional excursions will take place instead of afternoon activities at the centre.
Across the five excursions to Oxford the students will visit an Oxford University College, the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford Castle and Prison. They will also have a chance to go punting on the river and walk around the beautiful city.
WHERE?
Kingham Hill School is situated in the peace and quiet of the picturesque Cotswolds just 1 hour away from Oxford. The school has state of the art classrooms, a swimming pool, sports centre, tennis courts, an astroturf and a 250-seat theatre. Accommodation is within one of the traditional Cotswold stone boarding houses with rooms from singles to rooms with 8 beds.
WHO?
Any student can join the Discover Oxford programme whether they are an individual or part of a group. Please note, the whole group doesn’t need to join the programme, some students can participate in the multi-activity programme at the school whilst others participate in the Discover Oxford programme.
