Discover Cambridge
The city of Cambridge is famous for its history, culture and World leading university. On our new ‘Discover Cambridge’ programme we are giving students staying at our Summer School Programme at St Joseph’s College the opportunity to spend more time in this exciting city and see what is has to offer.
Discover Cambridge offers students two additional half day excursions to Cambridge per week on top of the included full day excursion to Cambridge offered to all the students staying at st Joseph’s. These additional excursions will take place instead of afternoon activities at the centre.
Across the five excursions to Cambridge the students will visit a Cambridge University College, the Fitzwilliam Museum and Cambridge University Botanic Garden. They will also have a chance to go punting on the river and walk around the beautiful city.
WHERE?
St Joseph’s College was founded in 1937 and is set on a 65 acre campus in Ipswich, Suffolk, just an hour from London and 30 minutes from the Suffolk coast. Accommodation is within 2 boarding houses both with welcoming communal spaces and single, twin and triple bedrooms.
WHO?
Any student can join the Discover Cambridge programme whether they are an individual or part of a group. Please note, the whole group doesn’t need to join the programme, some students can participate in the multi-activity programme at the school whilst others participate in the Discover Cambridge programme.
